EASTERLING - WAGSCHALL
A wedding, which linked two well known Canterbury families, took place at St. Paul's Church of Englnand, Canterbury on July 25, when Miss Gladys May Wagschall, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Wagschall, of George-street, Canterbury was married to Mr. John Easterling, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Easterling, also of Canterbury. The Rev. R.. Heffernan officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a white train and georgette gown trimmed with silver, her dainty bridal veil being lent by Mrs. Wharton. The bridesmaids were Miss Bertha Bennett and Miss Marion Eastcrling (sister of the bridegroom), both of whom wore champagne crepe-de-chine and georgette frocks and hats to tone. The trainbearers were Enid and Jean Wagschall (sisters of the bride), their frocks being of shell-pink crcpo-do-chine and blue taffeta. The bridegroom was supported by Mr. E. Gorman as best man, and Mr. Clifford Easterling (brother) as groomsman. After the ceremony the guests were entertained at the Hurlstone Park Hall, Duntroon-street. Mrs. Wagschall wore a putty-colored costume with hat to match, and Mrs. Easterling, sen., was in navy crepo-de-chine, relieved with mastic. The Rev. R. Hoffernan presided at the breakfast, when the usual toasts were honored, and subsequently Mr. and Mrs. Easterling left by motor for Melbourne for their honeymoon, the bride travelling in a grey cloth gown and a navy hat.
